<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation image photographing method and apparatus for attaining the improvement of total throughput in radiation image photographing by correctly positioning a photographing region when photographing a radiation image, appropriately processing the image after pre-photographing, and correctly counting an exposure dose amount. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A photographing position is confirmed by the pre-photographing so as to retain the coincidence of the photographing position, and the pre-photographing image after the pre-photographing is preserved in a pre-image preserving part, thereby the total throughput in the radiation image photographing is improved. The exposure dose amount is correctly counted, the exposure dose amount on a subject is reduced, and then, the correct exposure dose amount is displayed and recorded.
