The device (1) has mixing spiral units (4a, 4b) gripped into one another and driven within a housing (2) by a reduction gear and associated drive shafts (16a, 16b). The mixing spiral units are driven by electromotors (20a, 20b) and speed reduction gears (22a, 22b) that are mechanically coupled with the drive shafts, respectively. The electromotors are synchronized with each other by a traction drive (24) e.g. gear belt, for producing synchronization, where the traction drive couples drive shafts (30a, 30b) of the electromotors.
