<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for controlling hyperthermia surgery. <P>SOLUTION: This apparatus for medical treatment of the patient includes: an optical fiber 20; an optical deflector which is placed at the outlet end of the optical fiber 20, and configured so as to rotate a beam by rotating the optical fiber 20 around a shaft core; a drive unit which performs the longitudinal movement along the longitudinal direction of the optical fiber 20 and the rotational movement around the shaft core of the optical fiber 20; and a tubular member 40 which is installed to cover the vicinity of the outlet end of the optical fiber 20 and reinforce the optical fiber 20. The tubular member 40 is connected with a drive unit for transmitting the longitudinal and rotational movement from the drive unit, and protects the optical fiber 20 so that the optical fiber 20 is not bent transversely during longitudinal movement, is not twisted in rotational movement, and transmits the movement from drive unit to the end of optical fiber 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
