PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus which can use a tripod and facilitates low-angle photographing. SOLUTION: An operation unit (32) is disposed on the base of a body (10). The operation unit (32) is rotated to move between a position of the base of the body (10) and a position horizontally shifted from the base. The operation unit (32) includes a zoom switch (34) and a video recording start button (36). A zoom switch is disposed also on the upper surface of the body (10), and a video recording start button 30 is disposed on the back surface thereof. When the operation unit (32) is rotated to a position shifted horizontally from the base of the body (10), a screw for attaching a tripod is exposed; and the tripod becomes attachable.
