<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller for a motor which calculates active and reactive currents of an AC motor, without having to use a means for directly detecting the position and the rotating speed of a rotor of the AC motor, and implements high-performance variable-speed driving of the AC motor by means of an apparatus for driving the AC motor. <P>SOLUTION: Provided is a vector control device which detects active and reactive currents of an AC motor from the detected value of input current of an inverter for driving the AC motor, based on the phase of the output voltage of the inverter and performs current estimation of a d-axis current, which is an excitation component, and a q-axis current, which is a torque component, from the detected current values. The vector control device performs current estimation of the d-axis current and/or the q-axis current of the motor by using the detected values for the active and reactive currents of the motor and a second phase value, which is a sum of the value of the phase of the output voltage of the inverter which is a first phase value, and a phase error value between the flux axis of the motor and the reference axis for control. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
