<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator performing necessary and sufficient refrigerant cooling of an electric motor and enabling high efficiency operation. <P>SOLUTION: The refrigerator is provided with a cooling expansion valve 47 provided in motor cooling refrigerant introduction piping 45 and controlling a flow rate of a refrigerant flowing within the motor cooling refrigerant introduction piping 45 and with a control part controlling an opening of the cooling expansion valve 47. The control part calculates heat generation amount of the electric motor 16 based on electric power input to the electric motor 16, and determines the opening of the cooling expansion valve 47 based on the heat generation amount. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
