PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve high light intensity and satisfactory depth characteristics of illumination. SOLUTION: A rod-shaped light guide 26 includes an end face on which light is made incident, a bottom plane on which a scattering pattern to scatter light incident on the end face is formed, and a light emitting part 32 located to be opposite to the bottom plane and emitting light outside. The light emitting portion 32 is formed as a first plane 32a and a second plane 32b connected to each other. Further, the first plane 32a is formed to be smaller than the second plane 32b so that the cross section thereof perpendicular to the longitudinal direction is asymmetrical.
