PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary battery pack for switching a protection or control mode into a setting made for every connecting object or state by determining a connecting state for protection or control based on information input from an external interface. SOLUTION: The secondary battery pack is composed of: a secondary battery block 12 which is formed by connecting secondary batteries 11; a current detection section 13 for monitoring charging/discharging current in a secondary battery block 12; an output voltage detection section 15 for monitoring the output voltage; a communication terminal 17; an ID terminal 18 for detecting the connection with a device; and a control section 19. The control section 19 controls an action of the battery pack as a whole by carrying out charging/discharging control of the battery pack and calculation for the capacity based on potential or communication information from the communication terminal 17 and device connecting information from the ID terminal 18.
