<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foldable type head rest for a vehicle with a high general purpose property. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Since it is not required that respective parts of the foldable mechanism 30 are newly arranged in a seat back by making all of the foldable mechanism 30 for rearwardly falling a head rest body built-in in the head rest body, even if the seat back has variable shapes according to a kind of vehicle, the head rest body can be fallen by an actuator part 29 only by attaching the head rest body to an upper part of the seat back by a peeler 11.
