PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reproducing device wherein operability is improved when retrieving a desired content from a plurality of server devices each storing a content and reproducing. SOLUTION: A DMP (Digital Media Player) 1 stores retrieval information specified for that DMS 2 from any one of DMSs (Digital Media Servers) 2 is selected, until a content is downloaded from that DMS 2. When another DMS 2 is selected before the content is downloaded from the selected DMS 2, the DMP 1 specifies the stored retrieval information to that other DMS 2.
