<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope capable of preventing the erosion of stainless steel material arranged in the inside space of the endoscope by preventing a chrome oxide film in the surface of the stainless steel material from being damaged during processing with an autoclave. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The endoscope constituted such that member formed by stainless steel is incorporated in the inside space surrounded with the outer member of the endoscope to thereby get air in the inside space discharged to the outside space when the air pressure in the outside space of the outer member becomes lower than the air pressure in the inside space is constituted such that oxygen may be discharged into the inside space from an oxygen storing material 12 when the air within the inside space is discharged to the outside space by arranging the oxygen storing material 12 adsorbing and storing the oxygen in the inside space.
