<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slidable constant velocity universal joint capable of further improving joint efficiency by restraining the agglutination and abrasion of mutual metals by reducing frictional resistance not necessarily enhancing the hardness of a contact part by heat treatment. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This slidable constant velocity universal joint has an outside joint member for forming a plurality of straight line-shaped track grooves in the axial direction on a cylindrical inner diameter surface, an inside joint member for forming a plurality of straight line-shaped track grooves in the axial direction on a spherical surface-shaped outer diameter surface, a ball for transmitting torque by being interposed between the track grooves of the outside joint member and the track grooves of the inside joint member, and a cage for holding the ball by being interposed between the inner diameter surface of the outside joint member and the outer diameter surface of the inside joint member.
