<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a conventional dialysis needle detachment and blood leakage detecting sensor requires too much time to detect detachment after the detachment of a dialysis needle since it takes a long time to establish electrical continuity between electrodes 2, 3 and branch electrodes 4, 5. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Ultrasonic transducers 9, 10 are respectively mounted in the middle of dialysis needles 7, 8. Each of the dialysis needles 7, 8 has one end connected to a dialyzer 11 and the other end inserted into a blood vessel 12. An oscillator 13 is connected to the ultrasonic transducer 9 on one dialysis needle 7 out of the dialysis needles 7, 8, and a signal detecting device 14 is connected to the ultrasonic transducer 10 on the other dialysis needle 8 out of the dialysis needles 7, 8.
