PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an actuator for driving a mechanism which displace a position of an output shaft of a servomotor between two points by High/Low input or ON/OFF switching. SOLUTION: This actuator 10 for driving the mechanism includes the servomotor 20 controlling the rotating direction and the rotating angle of the output shaft 22 according to a change in the pulse width of a pulse signal to be input, and the drive circuit 30 outputting the pulse signal for use in the control of the output shaft 22 of the servomotor 20, to the servomotor 20. When a signal L of a predetermined voltage is input in an input section 31, the drive circuit 30 outputs a pulse signal X of a predetermined pulse width from the output section 32 to the servomotor 20 and, when a signal H having a different voltage from that of the signal L is input in the input section 31, outputs a pulse signal Y having a different pulse width from that of the pulse signal X is output from the output section 32 to the servomotor 20.
