PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easy and short-time method of manufacturing an electrooptical device provided with a partition between substrates, having an improved yield and reduced production cost. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the electrooptical device has the steps: of sealing an electrooptical material containing a polymerizable material between the pair of materials; and of partitioning an area sealed with the electrooptical material into a plurality of areas by polymerizing the polymerizable material.
