PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waveform observation device enabling a user to enjoy a merit of increasing a capacity of a memory to be loaded on the waveform observation device, by reducing complication for editing measurement data by using an external computer. SOLUTION: When inserting a USB memory 35 into the waveform observation device 1, retrieval of data in a measurement data file in a body memory 30 is executed following a condition required by the user, and a copy of the extracted measurement data is generated (S13, S15). The copied data is filed, and an edition copy data file is generated (S18, S19, S21). The filed data is transferred to the USB memory 35 and stored in the USB memory 35.
