<p>The engine cylinder head casting (3) has a side piece (1) which forms a support for bearings (6, 7). A circular valve (14) which runs on the bearings is carried on a shaft (19) which is turned at one quarter of the engines speed. Admission passages (24) are formed at the axial ends of the valve between it and the bearing and plates (10, 11). Axial openings in the valve form a communication between these passages and two radial passages (21) in the valve which are separated by a radial partition (22). The radial passages open over part of the circumference and pass periodically over openings (4) in the cylinder head leading into the cylinder.</p> |
