The device has a compression spring (9) for supporting positioning movement of a flap, over entire positioning path. A force element (14) supports an initial positioning movement of the component, and is attached at the compression spring. The force element has a pot-shaped housing part with a base and a wall. An outward projecting radial circular flange is formed at the wall at a side of the housing part, where the side is opposite to the base. A rubber cushion is arranged in an opening of the base. Hinge members (1,4,7,8) are connected to the flap.
