The image recording arrangement has an image sensor (1a) and a polarizing filter (2a) for filtering an incident light (9-1), particularly in the visible, ultraviolet or infrared wavelength area. An optically active unit (3a) rotates the plane of polarized light (9-2). The polarizing filter and the optically active unit are arranged in the direction of the light coming from the image sensor, so that the incident light enters in the polarization filter, in the optically active unit and in the image sensor. A light fraction (9-3) of the incident light is reflected by the image sensor. An independent claim is included for a night vision system for a vehicle.
