The invention discloses a method for managing authentication data of a user of a mobile application service, the authentication data comprising device identification data and service subscription identification data. The method is characterized in that the method comprises steps of observing a change in device identification data or in service subscription identification data, identifying the user based on unchanged authentication data, and updating the authentication data of the identified user with the changed device or service subscription identification data.
