The invention relates to a novel process for converting CO2 into energy resources and/or value added resources, including steps comprising: photosynthetic species cultivation, production, emptying, mechanical and/or thermal separation and transformation by means of thermochemical liquefaction, direct combustion and/or anaerobic digestion. Alternatively this product having high nutritional value is transformed into energy resources, such as electrical energy, heat energy, fuels and/or synthesis gases.
