PURPOSE:To strengthen the peripheral part of a stamp, by gradually increasing the quantity of transmitted or reflected light from a light spot on the original, from the outside to the inside in a prescribed region extending inward from the periphery of an image on the original. CONSTITUTION:A laser beam 9 is irradiated from a laser oscillator upon the surface 3a of a stamp 3. Detecting light L1 is projected from a projector 11 to the original ?5 and the light L2 transmitted through the original is received by a photoelectric converter 12. A light quantity control means is provided so that the quantity of the ?transmitted light L2 from a light spot P on the original 5 is gradually increased from the outside to the inside in a prescribed region extending inward from the periphery of an image on the original 5. The laser beam 9 of the laser oscillator 10 is controlled by the output of the photoelectric converter 12. |
