PURPOSE:To remove unnecessary solution on photosensitive drum and excess toner and enable good transfer to be performed by rotating an elastic material roller in the direction opposite from that of a photosensitive drum in pressure contact with the photosensitive drum under sufficiently large contact area. CONSTITUTION:In a wet type electrophotographic apparatus which transfers the toner images on a photosensitive drum 1 which has been developed to visible images by a liquid developer to the copied matter 18, a squeezing device 11 constituted by a squeezing roller 12 and a charger 13 is provided in the position prior to transfer. The squeezing roller 12 bein a relatively soft elastic material roller is in pressure contact with the photosensitive drum 1 and rotates in the opposite direction in synchronization therewith thereby removing the unneseccary solution and excess toner on the photosensitive drum 1. Thereby, only the toner images are left on the photosensitive drum 1 and the transfer of the toner images on the copied matter 18 is accomplished by a transfer roller 17. |
