The present invention relates to novel plant-based compositions and to uses thereof, in particular as a food supplement or additive or as an allopathic or homeopathic medicament. The invention relates more particularly to compositions comprising at least one extract of cinnamon and one extract of basil, and to uses thereof in the dietary, nutraceutical or pharmaceutical field. The compositions of the invention can be used in particular for treating or preventing urinary infections, or for improving the condition of patients suffering from a urinary infection. The present invention also relates to the use of an extract of cinnamon in the form of an essential oil, alone or in combination with at least one other plant extract, for the manufacture of a composition for use in treating a urinary infection.
