<p>Disclosed is an elastomer composition that suppresses ultraviolet-induced deterioration and can withstand long-term outdoor exposure. The elastomer composition is prepared by adding titanium oxide (C) in an amount of 2.5-8 wt% with respect to the weight of nylon resin (B) into the matrix phase of a butyl-based rubber/nylon resin blend composition, wherein the dispersion phase is a butyl-based rubber (A) as a mixture of (i) isobutylene and bromide of paramethyl styrene copolymer or (ii) butyl rubber, halogenated butyl rubber and/or polyisobutylene rubber and isobutylene and bromide of paramethyl styrene copolymer, and the matrix phase is the nylon resin (B) selected from nylon 11, nylon 6/66 copolymer, nylon 6 and/or nylon 66. Also disclosed is an pneumatic tire using the elastomer composition.</p> |
