SEALING ARRANGEMENT FOR CYLINDRICAL SURFACES AND A SEAL TO BE USED IN SUCH SEALING ARRANGEMENTS

A sealing arrangement for inner or outer cylindrical surfaces comprises a resilient profile seal (2) shaped as a disk having its sealing lip (a) formed at.its outer or inner rim as a profile ring (b), wherein a pressure is exerted onto said seal by means of a screw (3) adjusting a size of a clearance between the seal and a surface being sealed. Said sealing ring (b) is shaped as an L- like profile. The seal (2) is made of a material stable to heat, advantageously of metal. The seal according to the invention provides a possibility to continuously compensate any possible abrasive wear of a connection in its possible embodiments.
