<p>According to the invention a network entity is provided, that comprises an interworking part providing interworking between an instant message (IM) domain and a short message (SM) domain, and a home subscriber database part arranged to provide home subscriber database functionality for the short message domain side. When a short message center or other network element requests a routing information for delivering short messages to a recipient user, the home subscriber database part returns its own routing address that is capable of accepting short messages and performing the SM-IM interworking, if the recipient user is provisioned to a IM service. The home subscriber database part returns a normal SM delivery address, if the recipient user is not provisioned to a IM service.</p> |
