The present invention relates to a bus system for the distribution of electrical power and to a module body for use therein. The module body is made of an insulating material, and has at least two first channels, each adapted for at least partly receiving a bus bar, each first channel extending through said module body along one side thereof being open to the outside at one side and at both longitudinal ends thereof; said module body having at least two second channels, each adapted for receiving a power connection element for cooperating with a first complementary contacting element of a circuit breaker, each second channel extending generally transverse to said first channels and being open at one longitudinal end thereof, wherein said first channels extend through said module body in a first plane, and wherein said second channels extend through said module body in a second plane, said second plane being generally parallel to said first plane and offset from said first plane, said first and second channels crossing each other in the respective parallel, offset planes; and wherein said module body comprises at least one opening for each second channel, through which opening said second channel connects with one first channel. |
