PURPOSE:To prepare a pressure-sensitive copying paper which is excellent in storage stability, water resistance and light resistance and high in color forming capacity, by using mixed fine particles containing a polyvalent metal salt of an aromatic carboxylic acid as a color developing agent and an ultraviolet absorber. CONSTITUTION:One pt. (dry weight) polyvalent metal salt of an aromatic carboxylic acid (e.g. zinc 3.5-di-t-butylsalicylate), 0.005-0.2pts. organic ultraviolet absorber of which an absorption peak is between 300-400mmu and of which an absorption coefficient is 3,000 or higher (e.g., phenyl salicylate) and, if necessary, 0.05-10pts. organic polymer (e.g.: polyethylene) are mixed and, for instance, melted by heating, hardened by cooling and pulverized into fine particles. Color developing powder thus obtained is mixed with inorganic pigment, binder, etc. to form a color developing paint, which is applied on a sheet of base paper. |
