PURPOSE:To enable highly accurate measurement for a short time with conditions thereof always kept constant regardless of the presence of water in a space by inflating a rubber tube with a pressure gas to discharge water therefrom after a sonde body is covered with the rubber rube. CONSTITUTION:A sonde body 2 is coverted with a rubber tube 3 in which a pressure gas source 5, a gas flow rate adjusting section 6 and an exhaust section are provided. This assembly is placed in a space and as the tube 3 is inflated with a pressure gas being fed through the flow rate adjusting section 6, the water in the space of the tube 3 is replaced with the pressure gas completely. The sonde body 2 is surrounded only with the gas to always keep the measuring conditions constant. This eliminates the need for the correction due to water in the space thereby enabling a highly accurate measurement of the water content and of the density and the water content for short time. |
