<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing liquid crystal display panels which makes the height of columnar spacers in a transmission area equal to the height of columnar spacers in a reflection display area with onetime photoengraving. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing liquid crystal display panels including CF substrates 60 in which transmission display areas 1 and reflection display areas 2 are provided, includes (a) a step in which level-difference resin 64 is distributedly formed on the CF substrates 60 of the transmission display areas 1, and (b) a step in which level-difference resin 68 is consecutively formed on the CF substrates 60 of the reflection display areas 2. Furthermore, the method includes (c) a step in which photosensitive resin films are formed on the level-difference resins 64, 68 and (d) a step in which the photosensitive resin film is subjected to a photoengraving process to form columnar spacers 67, 69 on the level-difference resin 64, 68. In the step (d), an exposure quantity in the reflection areas 2 in the photoengraving process is smaller than that in the transmission display areas 1 in the photoengraving process. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
