PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical sheet capable of suppressing irregularity generating in a video, and to provide a method for manufacturing an optical sheet, and a video display device.

SOLUTION: The optical sheet 10 includes a plurality of layers that control a video from a video source to exit to an observer's side, wherein at least one layer in the plurality of layers is an optical functional sheet layer 12 having prism portions 13 arrayed in parallel along a sheet plane to transmit light and light absorbing portions 14 arrayed in parallel each between the prism portions to absorb light. The direction of warpage caused when the single optical functional sheet layer is heated is coincident with the direction of warpage caused when the sheet having the whole layers laminated is heated.
