A tapered roller bearing which is, in order to prevent wear of a large-flange-side end surface of an inner ring and wear of an end surface of a flange of a counterpart member, provided with a washer at the large-flange-side end surface of the inner ring. A dimensional tolerance between the inner ring and the washer which tolerance is required when the washer is mounted to the inner ring is relaxed to reduce working cost and to facilitate mounting of the washer to the inner ring. A tapered roller bearing having a washer (5) mounted to that end surface (1d) of an inner ring (1) which is on the large flange (1c) side, wherein an engaging recess (1c2) is provided in an outer peripheral surface (1c1) of the large flange (1c) of the inner ring (1) and elastically deformable claws (5b), on which engaging projections (5b1) engaging with the engaging recess (1c2) are formed, are provided to the outer peripheral edge of the washer (5). |
