PURPOSE:To obtain a photoreceptor having high sensitivity to a light in a region from visible light to a semiconductor laser light, and high printing resistance, by forming 2 photoconductive layers composed of a first vapor deposited squaric acid methine dye layer and a second Se-Te or Se-Te-Cl layer on a conductive substrate. CONSTITUTION:A squaric acid methine dye having the shown formula is vapor deposited on a conductive substrate in vacuum to form a first photoconductive layer, and on this layer a second photoconductive layer is formed by vapor depositing Se-Te containing 6-12wt% Te or Se-Te-Cl containing 6-12wt% Te and 15-100ppm Cl. The photoreceptor thus obtained has strong adhesion between each layer, photosensitivity ranging from visible light to 850nm, uniform photoconductive layers, and superior printing resistance. |
