PURPOSE:To manufacture a multistylus recording electrode which is sufficiently coated at the ends without shortcircuit therebetween by performing a plurality of electroless nickel plating steps at many of stylus unit formed by etching a thin copper layer on an insulating base plate while interrupting the steps of the fabrication. CONSTITUTION:A copper layer 2 (having less than approx. 10mum of thickness) on an insulating base plate 1 of laminate is etched to form recording stylus 2' of linear shape which are arranged in parallel with each other at an equal interval at the part faced with the front surface of the base plate 1. Then, an oxidized film is removed from the needle 2', is then washed, is dipped in chlorided palladium solution (aqueous solution of approx. 0.05g/l of palladium and 5cc/l of hydrochloric acid) for approx. 1min., is then dipped in nickel-phosphor plating solution at approx. 95 deg.C for 5min., is then washed, is dipped in approx. 3% diluted sulfuric acid solution for approx. 1min, the plating step is once interrupted, and the film is then dipped again in the nickel-phosphor solution at approx. 95 deg.C for longer than 1hr, thereby forming a nickel plating layer 3' on the needle 2'. |
