A method for transmitting the uplink burst data in the passive optical network system is provided, which includes that: transmitting the sync pattern of the uplink burst data, and the length of the sync pattern being integral multiple of 66 bits, and the units of 66 bits gene block being linked to form the sync pattern (S11); transmitting the burst delimiter of the uplink burst data (S12); transmitting the data protected by forward error correction in the uplink burst data (S13); transmitting the end of the burst delimiter of the uplink burst data (S14).
