<p>The present invention relates to a high tenacity polyurethane monofilament and a process for manufacturing the same, comprising of orienting and dynamic annealing of a polyurethane-containing monofilament. In addition to high tenacity, the present invention imparts reduced shrinkage and elongation to monofilament fibers, facilitating the use of thermoplastic elastomers in industrial fabrics, particularly in paper machine clothing (PMC).</p> |
