<p>A receiving system includes a first apparatus and a second apparatus, the first apparatus and the second apparatus being connected through a transmission line. The first apparatus includes an amplifier that amplifies a received signal, the signal amplified being transmitted to the second apparatus; a converting unit that reflects a pilot signal transmitted from the second apparatus through the transmission line and changes characteristics; and a control unit that controls the converting unit based on information obtained by monitoring the amplifier. The second apparatus includes a pilot output unit that outputs the pilot signal; a monitoring unit that monitors the first apparatus based on a level of a synthesized signal synthesized from the pilot signal output from the pilot output unit and a reflected signal that is from the first apparatus and includes the pilot signal reflected at the converting unit.</p> |
