<p>Disclosed is a dinuclear ruthenium complex dye represented by general formula (1-1) [wherein R01 represents a linear or branched alkyl group having 2 to 18 carbon atoms; X represents a counter ion; and n represents the number of counter ions required for the neutralization of the electric charge of the complex; provided that a proton (H+) in at least one carboxyl groups (-COOH) may be dissociated].</p>
