RUBBER COMPOSITION AND TIRES MADE BY USING THE RUBBER COMPOSITION

A rubber composition and tires made by using the rubber composition, which contain a substance serving as a substitute material for rubber component and which can be produced by a simple and low-cost manufacturing process with a low environmental load.  The rubber composition and the tires are characterized in that the rubber component contains a plant resource extraction residue, said plant resource extraction residue being a substance which remains after the solid-liquid extraction of a plant resource has been conducted by immersing the plant resource in a solvent.  The plant resource to be subjected to solid-liquid extraction is preferably tea leaves or coffee beans, while the solvent is preferably water.
