PURPOSE:To reduce the weight of a tank trailer and increase its loading capacity by an equivalent amount by providing a single rear axle for rear wheels which is placed in the neighborhood of the rear end, and by having the front part of the tank trailer to be supported by a tractor. CONSTITUTION:The rear wheels 4 of a tank trailer 5' are arranged on a single axle, and such rear wheels 4 are placed in the neighborhood of the rear end. This entails that the load borne by a coupler which is provided in the front lower surface of the tank trailer for connection with a tractor 3' is appropriately increased, and the load on the rear wheels 4 on the single axle of the tank trailer is reduced by an equivalent amount, allowing the single axle support. Thus, the weight of wheels and axle body equivalent to otherwise necessitate one more axle can be reduced. Such reduction is made use of to increase the loading capacity of the tank trailer 5'. |
