<p>A connector and electrical tracks assembly is disclosed comprising a connector 1 with a plurality of electrical contacts 5. The connector 1 is connectable to a further connector at a first extremity 3 and to a flexible circuit board portion 7 at a second extremity 2. The flexible circuit board portion 7 is located between a first and second layer of plastic thermosetting composite material of fibre and filler 13, 14. A rigid disc or plate 6 may be provided that is configured to fit against inner surface 4 and against inner diameter 8 of connector extremity 2. Plate 6 incorporates a number of holes 9 corresponding to pins 5 of the connector 1. The flexible circuit board 7 includes conductive tracks 11 and covering the conductive tracks 11 may be an insulating layer of glass. Above the glass layer a further plate 12 may be provided of similar shape and configuration to plate 6. The flexible board may allow bending within a radius of 20 to 360 degrees.</p> |
