A method of attaching a pawl or flight 1 to the surface of a conveyor belt 9 comprises pre-stressingstressing the surface region of the belt 9 and fixing the pawl 1 to the surface region while it is in the pre-stressed state. Pre-stressing may be achieved by stretching of the belt or by bending the belt through an angle (e). The pawl or flight 1 may be attached to the belt 9 by adhesive or welding. |
