A system provisions an electronic mail (email) account of a user for allowin g access to a user's electronic mailbox from a remote device to retrieve user email. It includes a communications module for receiving email address parameters entered by a user from an assured email service provider from whi ch previous users have been provisioned. A configuration module provisions the email account of the user based upon the email address parameters entered by the user. If provisioning fails, the communications module is operative for informing the user that the entered email address parameters are incorrect a nd requesting the user to enter corrected email address parameters.
