WAX-TETHERED PHOTOINITIATORS

A wax-tethered photoinitiator that is a photoinitiator compound including a wax chain therein, wherein the photoinitiator compound is activated by ultraviolet radiation, and method of making the same is described. The wax-tethered photoinitiator may be used in a curable wax composition for incorporation in to a toner. The wax-tethered photoinitiator exhibits an affinity for the wax phas e, thereby insuring its presence in the wax for the initiation of curing thereof.
