PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for demodulating WCDMA(Wideband Code Division Multiple Access) physical random access channel are provided to correct a delay error by reproducing a frame sync of a base station. CONSTITUTION: An antenna(101) receives a forward channel wireless signal and a reverse channel wireless signal between a base station and a mobile terminal according to WCDMA rule. A first down converter(103) converts a wireless signal of the forward channel into a baseband signal. A forward link receiving part(105) extracts a base station parameter and a frame sync from the signal converted in the first down converter. A PRACH(Physical Random Access Channel) generating part(113) generates a virtual PRACH message based on the base station parameter and the frame sync extracted in the forward link receiving part. A demodulating part(133) demodulates the virtual PRACH message based on the frame sync. A delay control part(115) provides a correction frame sync to the demodulating part. A second down converter(131) converts a wireless signal of the reverse channel into a baseband signal.
