The invention relates to a mashing vessel which comprises: a housing with a centre axis, wherein the housing has a bottom part and a stirring mechanism with at least one stirring blade. In order to obtain an improved mash-stirring action, the stirring mechanism is arranged eccentrically in the housing, wherein the stirring mechanism axis and the centre axis are spaced apart in the housing.
