A character display for attracting interest of a user by increasing the variety of screen display while reducing data processing by making the time variation of posture common among a plurality of characters. The character display (301) comprises an arrangement selecting section (303) for selecting the arrangement information determining the reference position/orientation of each character stored in an arrangement storage section (302), based on a designation input from the user, a posture acquisition section (305) for acquiring a coordinate group representing the posture of a character which is made to correspond with the time elapsed after a predetermined time from a posture storage section (304), a moving/rotating section (306) for moving/rotating the coordinate group in accordance with the reference position/orientation of each character, and a generating/displaying section (307) for generating/displaying an image where the plurality of characters taking a posture based on the moved/rotated coordinate group in a virtual space.
