摘要 PURPOSE: A glass substrate for the cover of a solar power generation module, and its manufacturing method are provided to obtain the impact strength of the identical or more level compared with the already-existing product even with maintaining the thickness to be 3.2mm or less. CONSTITUTION: A glass substrate(200) for the cover of a solar power generation module comprises a low-iron patterned glass substrate which has a thickness of 1.5-3.2mm, comprises SiO2 65 - 66 weight%, B2O3 21 - 22 weight%, Al2O3 5 - 6 weight%, Li2O 0.5 - 1 weight%, Na2O 2.2 - 3.5 weight%, CaO 0.3 - 0.8 weight%, BaO 0.7 - 2.0 weight% and FeO 0.001 - 0.015 weight%, and is chemically reinforced. The glass substrate for a solar power generation module cover has a solar light transmittance of 90 - 99%, a heat resistance of 200 - 260°C, and an impact strength of 40 - 75 kg/cm^2. The low-iron patterned glass substrate is the glass whose both sides are patterned by the Matt Matt Finished (MM) method, or whose one side is patterned by the Prismatic Matt Finished (PM) method.
