<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical device management system for allowing an operator to intuitively understand the work history of a medical device such as an endoscope. <P>SOLUTION: The operator photographs the endoscope to be brought into or out of an endoscope processor, a cleaning apparatus, and an endoscope storage, etc., by using a monitor camera, acquires the equipment ID of the photographed endoscope, and records and manages images and the ID by association through the use of a management server. When the history (the work history, a movement history) of the desired endoscope is confirmed, the equipment ID is inputted as retrieval information. When the equipment ID is inputted, the management server extracts the images managed in response to the inputted equipment ID, generates still image index images, based on the extracted images, and performs displaying on a monitor.
